Gardens From Around the World

Alpine Gardens received both, The President’s Award for the “Best Educational Garden”, as well as the Stephen M. Tanner Director’s Award for the “Best Garden” at the 2011 Colorado Garden and Home Show in Denver, Colorado. The theme for this year’s garden was “Gardens from Around the World” where four diverse styles were on display.  Impressive hardscapes and walkways, peaceful water features, a fire pit, and an outdoor kitchen were used to show off Asian inspired elements, Southwestern, Tuscan, and Caribbean gardens.

Landscape Designer, Kris Nylander explains, “We hoped that our garden display was able to convey that there are numerous avenues of inspiration when creating outdoor spaces.  The Gardens from Around the World theme seemed to be well received.”

This prestigious garden and home show took place in mid-February at the Colorado Convention Center and showcased the latest trends in landscaping, gardening and home improvement.  Proceeds from the largest garden show in the Rocky Mountain Region, support Colorado Garden Show, Inc., a nonprofit organization providing horticulture scholarships and grants statewide.
