B.A. from the University of Colorado in International Affairs, B.S. from Colorado State University in Environmental Horticulture with a minor in Business. Worked for Highland Nursery in Greeley from 2002 until it closed in 2006, has worked for Fossil Creek Nursery from 2006 to the present and Alpine Gardens starting in 2010. He has managed marketing efforts for Fossil Creek Nursery since the end of 2009. Received his CCNP certificate (Colorado Certified Nursery Professional) in 2011. Was the Commercial Project Engineer and performed commercial estimating for Alpine Gardens for 5 years.

Kris obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University in Landscape Horticulture with a concentration in Landscape Design and Construction, with a minor in Construction Management. Since starting with Alpine Gardens in 1999, Kris has enjoyed creating inviting, usable spaces for Alpine Gardens’ clients for over 25 years. Along the way, he has been honored with many state and national awards for his design work. He has received multiple “ELITE Awards” from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado (ALCC), as well as a “National Landscape Award of Excellence” in 2021 from PLANET. He has been involved in numerous garden show displays, many winning awards including the Stephen M. Tanner Director’s Award twice, for best garden at the Colorado Garden and Home Show. Kris has obtained his certification in Sustainable Landscape Management from ALCC.

Jack has a B.S. from Colorado State University in Forest Biology. He has his Qualified Supervisor License and a Pesticide Applicators License from the Colorado Department of Agriculture. Jack is the founder of Alpine Gardens and winner of 5 landscape awards from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado. He has experience in the nursery and landscape industry since 1974 and he and his wife, Chris, started Alpine Gardens in 1978.

His experience consists of managing, installing, and designing residential projects of various styles and scales. He approaches each project with an eye toward not only beauty but function as he works with clients to meet their needs with inspired spaces. Evan started with Alpine Gardens in 2016.

Fred joined Alpine Gardens in 2024 as a Maintenance Superintendent, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both the landscape industry and his 10-year career in the U.S. Navy. After starting his journey in the landscape industry in 1998, Fred's passion for the field never went away. He attributes his success to his teammates, often stating, "Without a good crew and a strong leader who can lead from behind and push them to success, no one will succeed.

After 20 years in Corporate Hospitality I decided I was finally going to build my dream business and do what I truly love: Gardening! For the last four years I have been running a successful Landscape & Gardening business and was enjoying the freedom that offered me as a mom and wife but knew this was something physically, I would never be able to retire from. When I saw the job posting for Warranty Manager, I knew it was the perfect job for me. I now have my dream job of customer service and plants combined into one!
